baby update

I am going twice weekly for tests to make sure baby #3 is doing OK in there. Two weeks ago, he hit 3 lbs, 3 ozs but was looking a little smaller than they liked, so I got steroid shots to help his lungs in case he comes out early. So I went nearly every day that week (whew) and got shots. But if they will help, it will be worth it. He finished out that week doing great.

This past week, I had my non stress test (he did OK) and then had a BPP on Thursday (where they make sure he is moving and practicing his breathing) and he did not do so well. He has always gotten 8/8 points, but last Thursday, he only 4 points. So they sent me to labor/delivery to get checked out for a few hours. So a short, quick appt lead to 6 hours in the hospital, where he was amazing on the monitors. They said he was textbook perfect once I was in labor/delivery, so they sent me home.

This week, Monday, I had a non-stress test, where again, he did fantastic. But my blood pressure was high (did I mention we are moving this week and possibly having a baby) so no wonder it was high. So, again, I got sent to labor/delivery to get some blood drawn to make sure I wasn't experiencing preeclampsia. Half and hour later...all blood work is fine and I am sent home. Next appt is Thursday morning, where they will measure him and decide if we are getting him out this week/weekend, or letting him stay put until next week.

And we are closing on the house, planning on moving, and still working, and possible having a baby.
We know how to do it right!

Racing season starts

Yes. Qualifying has starting for the racing season. Super pumped in this household. We are all into it and can't for next weekend! Graham is really psyched  as you can see. And Bennett loves watching the cars drive by.

Valentine's Day Party at School

All of us got to join Graham at school last Friday for a Valentine's Day Party. We out our valentine's in all the kids boxes, and Graham worked on painting a heart. He was thrilled at first, but got into it. 

He and another boy at the table starting mixing colors and that is when the painting fun really started. 

Finished project. Heart shape (on the side) which he cannot wait to get home and put in his new room. Happy Valentine's Day!

While Graham is at school, Bennett gets his sticker book and plays with the back sticker pages. Thank goodness Graham doesn't mind those pages, or else I am sure you ALL would be hearing about it. 

Keeping all his things close to him....milk, stickers, and train full of prized cars and toys 

and popcorn...did I mention we love popcorn!

Bennett has a whole crew in his crib, and this is how I found him one day at nap time. 

His crew is usually one side of the crib, while he sleeps on the other, but for some reason, they were all together. It was too funny not to photograph.

even the ultrasound lady said look at those lips! Just like his dad. 

Graham has been loving giving my belly high fives and foot fives. He has felt him move around and makes a face when he realizes what is happening (a good face). I think Bennett sees him doing stuff, so he has started giving me big belly hugs and putting his mouth on my belly, which I call giving his brother kisses. He also tries to push at my tummy, which I don't call anything. Bennett also is trying so hard to sit on my lap, which is super small at this point. We both get frustrated since we can't work it out, and he usually gets down in frustration. My lap will be back soon Bennett, I promise. 

Baby #3 is now measuring over 3 lbs, but still in the 5th percentile. The doctor is worried he is hitting a plateau with his growth, so I am getting measured Thursday, yes, this Thursday, to see how he is growing. If he still making progress, he stays in; if not, we are having a baby! Let's hope for 3.5 lbs!

all about Bennett

Bennett is a great helper. I am working on finishing making the bed, and he came to help by playing a kindle on it. 

I am folding towels and putting them away, so he hung out with me while I folded. 

This is a favorite place to drink his milk. He gets in his car and waits for you to bring him the bottle. 

Bennett and I also LOVE popcorn. He un-patiently waits for it to pop, then runs over to the couch where we sometimes share a bowl, or we each get out own bowl. 

This kid loves getting out in the afternoon to pick up his brother from school. 

He is so adorable! And he wore the Flyers hat since he took off his other hat and it got left in the car (see it on the seat?!)

reading books

Who would have thought buying a few books (thanks Aunt Sandy for the gift cards) would thrill them so much. Bennett loves the Henry Hugglemonster books, and Graham has the race car book worn down like he has had it for years. Graham takes the race car book everyone, and "read"s it every night before bed. 

we bought a house!

Because we have nothing else going on, we started really looking at houses. We ended up going in one I had I was not interested in (we walked through it during it's construction) and woah, it was so amazing. Amazing enough that we made an offer, and got an amazing deal and had it "sold" in a week. We are so excited and thrilled to be moving in a great place with so much space!

Graham and I are putting a sold sticker on our house lot. We are in a new home in a great location right across from where we currently are living. 

We also got to go put the sold sign on the for sale sign in the front yard! We move in very soon. 

And here it is....everyone has their own room, and a super great basement to store a million things. 

Can't wait to get in and get settled with SPACE to spare!

Graham school projects

I love Graham's school projects. They are adorable and I am saving everyone of them. 

Here, Graham is in a space ship in outer space.

papa visit

Brett got invited to a Pacers game night, so my dad came up to watch the boys so we could go. They were super pumped to see him, and obviously, he was super pumped to see them too. 

Brett and I at the game. I got to meet several of his coworkers and we had a great time just being together. The Pacers almost won that night, but gave it away in the last few minutes.

My sister and Cohen came over, and the red heads all had a pow wow on the floor. The number of red heads in our family is growing. The brunettes are losing this battle!

31 weeks

31 weeks belly shot

I look pretty regular in size, just with a little nugget in there. This is me freaking out because I am over 30 weeks and have like no photos to show. 

And the happy, yet totally stressed out parents. This ride has been a roller coaster for sure. 

future job?

I did take this little one with me to an appt one time. He did great, and he ate mini m&m's next to me while I was getting an ultrasound. He also tried to put the mini m&m's in the jelly on my belly, so that was fun. This is after I was all done, and he got to go check out all the buttons on the machine. 

finally, year 2015

Graham wearing his new striped school shirt. He LOVES this shirt and wears it even when he doesn't have to (thanks so much G&P). I love the stripes too so we all win. 

Bennett got this car wash as a Christmas present, and sometimes, when you are hanging out, you need to put your feet in it. Brett and I worked really hard to connect all these little town pieces and tracks and we thought it was so cool. The boys liked walking all over it and destroying it like Godzilla or something. At least Brett and I got to try it out a few times. 

Baby update: At this point, I am going weekly for ultrasounds to check his heartbeat and blood flow (since we have a 2 vessel cord, we need to make sure everything is flowing properly; so far so good)

He also gets measured every 3 weeks for growth. They like him to gain 50 grams a week (a little under 2 ozs) so every 3 weeks he should be gaining 150 grams. He has been doing that, and I believe at a growth scan in January, he was in the 2 lb and change ozs! He is growing, just at his own rate. Still under the 5th percentile, but growing. And still taking it 1 week at a time. 

Christmas 2014 part 2

We got to my sister's the day after Christmas to celebrate with my family. We got there, and I felt like super terrible, Chills and being hot and just gross. After we opened presents, I was under a blanket on the couch shivering all night long. bummer for that, but we had a great time otherwise. 

It was so much fun hanging out with my people, the boys did great. Thank goodness we had extra Christmas bags so hold all the new cars the boys got. And they got matching shirts. Bennett also didn't feel good if I remember correctly.

Graham got it in his head that Lucky is a monster. Every time he got near him, he would run away screaming and ask to be held. Uncle Craig-a-leg took the time to keep Lucky calm so Graham could see he was a cool dog and he could be petted. Graham did great being brave and listening to Uncle Craig-a-leg. They were adorable together. 

We had a great Christmas with all our family. We headed home and then celebrated Christmas with the 4 of us once I and Bennett were feeling a little better. Happy Holidays!
