no milk for us!

No, we are not on a milk protest. But we may not be a milk family. I am lactose intolerant and drink soy milk. Brett can tolerate milk and drinks soy milk with me (Thanks Brett!) We both were on soy formula when we were born, and when Graham went off breast milk, we put him on soy formula because he didn't seem to tolerate the regular formula. And since Brett and I were both on soy formula, we thought it made sense for Graham too, and he didn't barf it up every time either, a huge bonus! Anyway, we have been fine and dandy, drinking soy formula and getting big and growing up strong. So now, Graham is 1, and now we start milk, whole cow's milk. We were doing half and half with milk and formula which is what the doctor recommended. Well, we were find for a couple of days, and you all know that Graham has been teething and had a cold and got two shots and we added milk into his diet, so he has been pretty funking lately. On Sunday, he was having white gross poop. Like, really gross. And he had a lot of it, like going through clothes like nothing, had a lot of it. Brett said one of them looked like he puked in his diaper. Yuck. On Monday morning, he woke up early (1:00am) and I gave him a bottle because I thought he was hungry. Long story short, he took the bottle and ended up puking it all back up on me and him. Curdled milk and formula at 1:00 am is not a good time. I don't know when curdled milk is a good time, but it was not at that time. Poor little buddy. Milk is not liking his little body and he is revolting. He layed on Brett while I cleaned up and we called the doctor on Monday who said go back to soy formula. So, we are back on formula and Graham seems to be better now that we are back. We will reevaluate in a few months with the doctor. We don't know if it is just the milk, or if it was the milk, teeth and the cold all together that his body didn't like. It is brutal to see your little one uncomfortable with something you are giving him. You feel stupid and helpless. But we got it worked out for now and we are kicking some tail.

we heart orange!

Look at how young Brett looks? He is 30 people and looks like he is in college...nice Brett Brett nice. We had a theme last night when Brett came home and it didn't take him long to figure it out...we heart orange! Graham and I had put on orange shirts to be fun and Brett joined right in when he got home. Yeah for orange! Graham working on a karate move! (Sorry for the red eye) This was after dinner and every one knows that after dinner, Graham doesn't wear pants. Wait, he doesn't wear pants sometimes all day! Anyway, he is wearing a new orange Pluto shirt! And yes, black socks. Doesn't it make you want to give him a lawn mower? And pants obviously! He looks like a monster toddler beating on a puff container. The family in their orange shirts!! Love it! A quick kiss that Graham totally loved; not really. He wanted to watch the light on the camera flashing before it took the picture.

Last picture before jammies and bed. I love the black socks and orange shirt. It didn't look so bad when he had pants on, but man, it totally does when the pants come off. He is getting around really well, walking super fast and having better balance (sometimes)

Stuck in a bin

Graham always stands in front of them, sits on them and steps on the bins. Today, he graduated to being in them. Apparently, mickey mouse clubhouse is better up close and personal. And he still has access to the dvd player which he turns on and off constantly.

Birthday

The Smith's got Graham a cake and we sang to him. The boys helped him blow out his candle, and played with him before we left. Thank you so much for a wonderful day and for adult conversation! I loved it! Isn't he so cute playing with the fire truck! Yeah for Graham turning 1!

New toys

Playing with some new toys. Yes, he has no pants on, but he stopped crying once his pants were off, so off they stayed. He was really clingy with me today (Sarah). Hope he feels better tomorrow. We know he will be as cute if not cuter then!

Bath time

While we were in Indiana, Brett was busy taking the shower walls down! It looks amazing, and we can reach Graham when he is in the bath. It also allows us to take fabulous photos like Brett did here. Dont you want to keep him forever? Great job on the shower honey!
