Who knew putting up a mobile for Bennett would work so well in keeping Graham entertained? It is the same mobile from when Graham was a baby; I love that they both have laid under it.

For some reason we thought letting Graham use the hose was a great idea. It was for Brett. I however, got sprayed more than once. 

New hat

Nana bought Graham his new hat, which he loves. He wore it all day on a super hot day...and looks adorable in it.

Helping me

I found a recipe for 2 ingredient cookies so I thought I would try it (pretty good). Graham came to help which was awesome. Then he got to sprinkle his sprinkles on a purple iced tortilla shell. He loves sprinkles and no one ate the iced shell. The sprinkles were getting stuck in the little jar so I took the lid off and said be careful , they all will come out; which they did and sprinkle time was over.

nana visit

My mom came by for a long weekend and we loved having her here. Just someone else to be on baby or kid patrol, was awesome. I could go to the bathroom with the door shut...amazing. We made someone, but I do not remember what we decided to make...wait, it was pancakes for dinner! Pancakes are so much better when someone else makes them for you. And when your mom makes them for you...even the bestest of better. She was lucky enough to have an excellent stirrer to help her out. 

And of course, we hit up the diner for food. Nana and Graham were big fans of making messes with the sugar packets and creamers. 

Nana was brilliant with her abilities to make towers out of the creamers. He loves knocking them down. 

We wanted to paint pottery, so I watched as the 2 picassos worked there magic and tried NOT to paint each other. Nana succeeded in not painting Graham, but Graham painted Nana's shirt. Graham picked out a guitar bank to paint. He had red, yellow and orange to paint with. 

We also picked out a flower dish for Nana to take with her...purple, orange and yellow were used (our favorite colors). It was a lot of fun. Mom helped me clean out cabinets and she played with the kids so I could have a moment to myself. I don't think Bennett was every put down :D

We had such a great time mom, thank you so much for your help and company!!!

I found Graham one day hanging out in the nook. He had taken his snack and my kindle to have some alone time. I love his crossed feet. Such a grown up 3 year old! 

New sheets

New planes sheets, thank you nana and pawpaw. He loves them and the blanket! They match his room perfectly!!

Comfortable ?

He sits like this in his car seat sometimes...I hope it is comfortable. And yes, he wears mismatched socks every day. The crazier the better! 

Our bed

One night, I made a comment several hours before bedtime that Graham could sleep in our bed. He didn't say anything about it so I thought it was forgotten. But after his bath, he climbed right in our bed, and fell asleep in the middle. And yes, he is picking out his jammie combinations. 

juggling

It is funny...I check this blog every day for updates, then when there are none, I realize I am the one who updates it and I have not been doing a good job. I am officially back from maternity leave now ( I log in from 9pm-2am) and watching both kiddos all day.  They are the best. As hard as it is to get up with them in the morning and be happy, by the afternoon we are laughing at each other so it makes it all worth it. Graham is really into singing and dancing and of course, crashing cars. Bennett is trying so hard to roll over; he can roll over from his front to his back, but not the other way just yet, but he is so close and he gets all mad and starts to cry. Bennett is really talking away (totally my kid) and when he talks, Graham says he is talking to him and he comes right over to make him laugh. It is so fun with them. Bennett totally watches run around the room and laughs when he makes noises. So, I am working it all out; when to play, when to work, when to sleep, and when to eat. When to have a moment to myself, which usually ends up being around 2 am, not a real appropriate time when the kids will up be sooner than later. It is hard and exciting and tiring and fantastic all at the same time. And now Bennett is awake so I have to go. Hopefully updates are on the way!
