Loving his leap pad

We take the leap pad everywhere. He holds it or he puts it in my bag. He is doing really great with learning to write his letters and what sounds they make. He is sleeping with it too!!

little kicks

Well, I have started to feel the baby kick. Little by little, a kick here and there and both Brett and I get so excited! The other night, I felt a kick, told Brett to hold my belly, and he got one too! It was a very sweet moment. I can't wait for more kicks to come. If this baby is anything like his/her older brother, there will be some serious kicks happening!
Woot woot!

eating mac and cheese

We have mac and cheese nearly every day. Graham is still mastering the best way to use a spoon. And he loves to eat the chicken out of the mac and cheese first, then maybe some noodles if they get lucky enough to make it on the spoon.

my new years present

I got a really nice head but to the face from my little monster the day before New Years. I have never had a black eye before, and I got a really nice one. The below picture was taken earlier, the above was taken some time after. Gave me some really good street cred. I ended up having to fly back home with the black eye, which I totally forgot I had, which I think is super funny. I am sure I got some really nice looks from people. Flying alone, with a black eye and pregnant. Nice. But is all gone now, but still a little tender. 

New Years

Nana and pawpaw, Pip Pip and Uncle Craig came out for New Years. We had a really great time, especially playing catch phrase. Somehow, on a team that was not supposed to have won, mom with her son-in-laws, they managed to beat dad and daughters 2-1. We made plans that these would be the teams for the next round of any games. It was super fun time regardless of who won; we are all winners right?

We always head to the diner for breakfast and this trip was no different. Graham is negotiating the use of the salt and pepper shakers, which equals super mess for them to clean up, so we try to limit his use of them. 

You got to love what a pawpaw will do for a Graham. He is the best, not to mention pip pip in the background too. We had a great time and were sad to see them all go home. 

weird wake up

Graham took a random nap or sleep from 5:15 pm -6:50pm. Totally a weird time, but he sat next to me and basically, fell asleep leaning against me. So what to do? Twice he has fallen asleep at this time and stayed asleep until the morning, but it was not to be tonight. Brett and I always struggle with what to do when he does this...keep him asleep or wake him up? Anyway, he woke up and immediately asked for chips. We got him chips. He didn't eat them though, instead, he started tickling Brett and honking both our noses while he was still waking up. Totally cute. He now has moved on to eating chips and being a total, energetic boy, just about the time you want him to wind down and go to bed. It is going to be a long night people! But I love that he loves chips and tells me how good they are, like I made them or something (which I did not). He definitely can always put a smile on your face!

baby update

16 weeks
Had our belly check today. Baby's heartbeat was in the 160's, great and strong. They usually have to work to find it, but not today people, not today. They found it right away. Made our next appointment and our next ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby! woot woot

ABC's?

Graham knows his ABC's, and he can sing it. But lately I have noticed that there is something new in the middle of the song. It goes something like this...
abcdefghichangemydiaperqrstuvwxyz

I don't know how or when it started, I just noticed that the song no longer sounds right. sigh. this kid!

big puppy feet

Graham has moved on from his books to mine now (just kidding). I had a book out with my court papers (jury duty people) and Graham was checking it all out for me. 

Do you see how big his feet are in these photos? I mean seriously, we joke that he has big puppy feet, but he seriously has some big feet. We think he will be super tall, which is way taller than Brett and I are. I am going to have to get a step stool to do my disciplining.

bucket head

As if the basket head were not not adorable enough, he has been putting this popcorn bucket on his head as well. He loves watching himself in the camera while I take a million photos of him. This kid definitely keeps you on your toes. 

a little comedian

I came out of the shower and this is how Graham was entertaining himself. He did this all by himself, and besides being adorable just sitting like this, he also was singing twinkle twinkle little star. Super fun!

reindeer or giraffe?

We watched the classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer movie with Graham this past holiday season. We were excited to show him the reindeer. He told us they were giraffe's and could not be persuaded otherwise. It was really cute. 

Christmas 2012

Christmas and Gigi and Pawpaw's house was super great. They had bought a remote control car for all the kids, big and small, and it was a huge hit with both Brett and Graham. 

Here, Graham is running through Brett's legs trying to get the car. It was a ton of fun watching everyone get to play with the car and the other fun toys they had. 

We made snowmen. You can see whose everyone's is....the abstract looking one is Graham's.

Graham is playing 'xylophone' with these blocks he stole from the church nursery. He was making a birthday song for daddy. 

We also made Christmas trees...the upper left is Graham's.

This was one night before bed...Graham took a soccer ball and the remote controlled car to bed with all of us to bed. Not a lot of space to sleep but we managed. 

The loot after opening presents on Christmas morning. That is my new, fantastic pregnancy pillow. I call it the donut and the only other person who loves it as much as I do is Graham. He is a big fan of getting comfy in the middle of the donut. 

One of Graham's favorite toys was this cat keyboard. It also has a microphone, double bonus for a budding musician.
