update on status

exactly the same as last week....nothing new.
more snow is falling as I type...Brett is super excited.
i need a nap.
and my birthday is next week...yeah!

update

We had an appt last week and we are moving toward D-day! I am 60% effaced and a tinsey-bit dilated. The doctor said his head is down, and he is about 7lbs!!! With 20 days to go, he could end up being 8 lbs easy the doctor said! WoW Wee!! I am sleeping less and less and peeing more and more. The backaches have started and won't go away. On a funner note, his room now has a crib and a changing table and a bookcase!!! His clothes are ready to go and we are working on putting up his closet. We are getting there! We have a swing, a pack and play, a high chair, a stroller and car seats all ready to go. The labor bag is packed and waiting by the door!! We have our next appt. tomorrow, as long as the snow doesn't cancel it. More updates soon...and he is now considered a full term baby!!

hospital tour

We had out first baby class tonight....well it was almost a baby class. We got a tour of the maternity floor at the hospital where we will deliver. We saw the room and the little incubator bed they will place him in once he is out of me. As long as all goes well, he will stay in that room with us for a while, which is really great. They were really nice and we should be all set as long as we can remember how to get to the maternity floor! Thank goodness for signs! Getting pretty close folks, pretty close!

baby shower II

On Sunday, Brett and I went over to our friends Harvey and Julia's house for a nice lunch...only to be totally surprised by all my coworkers for a baby shower!!! Brett knew about it ahead of time to get me there, and I had no clue! I was completely surprised and we had a great time! We measured the belly to see who guessed how big I was and played the dirty diaper game. We had great food; thanks for the alfredo Harvey, it was wonderful, and we got some great gifts!! We are just about set for the little one to come, if only the carpet would show up so we could get his stuff in his room! Thanks again to everyone who came to the shower and for Harvey and Julia for having it at their new place....you guys are amazing friends!
