birthday party!

Yeah! Birthday Party pics! Here is our fireplace decorated. The cars cutouts ended up on the ground and torn up...the birthday boy wanted to play with them! This birthday banner is also helping us learn our letters...we go through the letters several times a day and are working on B at this moment.

Graham in his jammies on his birthday morning. What better way to start the day than by his favorite window!

Our friends have arrived. While Graham does some last minute stretching, Ethan, Jacob and Ashton get to know the Colts dummy. The boys loved it!

We had just finished singing Happy Birthday and Graham blew out his candle! I was so proud! What a special moment for our family! He also clapped for us after we sang to him.

We ended up blowing up 70+ balloons and putting them all in the den, and calling it the balloon room. After cars cupcakes, everyone who wanted to be ended up in the balloon room for a super fantastic time. This is my attempt to get a group shot while saying Happy Birthday. We are missing a few kidlets but I tried!

All our friends had left at this point and Graham got some extra balloon room time all to himself. As a side note, all the balloons are still there and he gets to hang out in there everyday.

Graham FINALLY wiped out after 10pm on his birthday. I thought he was going to go all the way, but he fell asleep playing with his new cars.

What a day! I was so thankful for all our friends who came over to help us celebrate and especially for Gigi and Grandpa for making the trip and helping with cupcakes. It was also special we were able to skype with nana and pawpaw and aunt pippy to open presents and spend a few moments. Pippy, he loves that doggie guitar, I think he can almost play a song on it!

Graham loves Mickey Mouse Club house. He loves the roll call and he can say everyone's name. During the show, Mickey uses a friend named Toodles to hold his tools while they are working things out. When they want to call him, Mickey and friends say "O Toodles!", and now Graham is saying "O Toodles!" on repeat. It is so stinking cute, you repeat and love it every time. I am working on getting it on video.

Speaking of roll call, Graham is a big fan of running through everyone in the room's name over and over again, and then mixing them all up and singing them in a song like voice. It is super fun not to mention completely silly.

The tree

This is our only tree in all its glory. I love it when it is in full bloom, and I love the blanket of white it leaves on the grass. It smells so nice. And, I can see this all from my kitchen window, total bonus! I LOVE THiS TREE.

Happy 2nd Birthday Graham!

Graham is 2 years old today! We were able to have a super fun, very active birthday party at our house. We had a great time, we had all boys and 2 little girls! I will post pictures soon; we are all pretty tired (Graham was up from 1-4 this morning!). All I know is, we blew up 70+ balloons and put them all in our den and had a balloon room! IT WAS AWESOME! It was a great way to end the party and we left it for Graham so he could have a few more days of balloon fun!

I cannot believe he is 2 today...the time really has flown by.

This little boy is a car loving red head who is full of energy and smiles. He loves saying hello, and is really into naming everyone in the room. We are so proud of him and cannot wait to see what the next year holds!

So fun, Graham and Brett sing patty cake while in the bath, which is way better than outside the bath because you get to splash water on daddy. I love that once Graham has said pat-pat-pat-pat he then "rolls" it! So cute!

a new water trick

It is not really a new fancy water trick, but Graham is really proud of himself once he figured out how to use the cup to catch water. He loves it, and frequently asks for the water to be turned on so he can catch the water.

Brett and Graham love hiding and finding each other. I was lucky enough to see how excited Graham gets when he finds Brett.

Phila Union Match

We had a family trip to the Union match today. Graham was a little spooked by all the people and loud noises, but he eventually warmed up to everything and it was an overall success. Great weather and a great atmosphere. Graham pointed out the ball on a few occasions, showed us numbers on the game clock and our seats, and alerted us to what might have been the only bird that flew over the stadium (he also reminded us that birds quack). Great pictures mommy!

old man jammies

So we have this pajamas that are a set; like old man pajamas with a collar and everything. They are so cute, but I never knew when to wear them, but we finally decided this past weekend was the time. He looked so adorable in them, that I kept him in them the whole next day! Thanks gigi and grandpa for the super cute jammies!

And look at his little feet. Oddly enough, at this moment, he is trying to figure out how an outlet plug can go into the outlet when there is already a plug in the outlet. I had a hard time showing him they were already plugged (he didn't believe me) and we didn't need the one he had. Now, if only I could find the outlet for the one he is holding in his hand!

A lady at Mary's work gave Graham a balloon and he loved it! He can say "boon" when he sees one and loved grabbing the string and bringing it down to his level. I think the lady who gave us this balloon reads this blog, and if you do, I am so sorry I cannot remember your name, but thank you so much for the balloon. He played with it until we left Indiana!

Yes, he is flashing us. He started doing this...when he whips out the belly, he wants you to tickle it!

And we are discovering out belly buttons....so cute.

Star Wars shirt and birthday plates

Mary and Neal had family over to help celebrate my birthday on March 2. It was a really nice time and we got to see some family we had not seen in a long time. Graham had fun with the birthday plates. Do you see how cute his feet are? So much fun right now. I think all the extra birthday plated ended up on Brett and my's head at some point, like a game or something.

H2O Surprise

Hopefully this is as funny as it was in real time. Graham had been trying to drink out of water bottles for quite some time, but he never can do it well. He "fake" drinks when the caps are still on usually, but this night, I poured out almost all the water and let him get the cap off to see what he would do. You can see here, he is working on taking a drink from the water bottle...

And this is the face afterward. He got some in his mouth, and most of it all over his shirt. I don't think he was planning on anything coming out, so when the water did, he got a surprise! After a quick hug and a new shirt, he was all better. But it was so funny to see him react to the water!

fun time at dinner

We had Uncle Kyle and his friend over for dinner a couple of nights, which was so nice. Graham was a huge fan of Uncle Kyle, and even managed to say Uncle.

Graham and daddy..so cute. Brett and I took a picture at this very spot the first time he brought me home. Look how far we've come!

Brett had Graham on his shoulders and was moving up and down for us in the dining room. He would bring Graham up and then disappear behind the wall. You can see how much Graham loved it by the smile on his face!
