pack n play fort

sometimes, I amaze myself with what I can come up with on a rainy day when I have to pack up stuff and get it to the car with two crazy kiddos. 

Ta-da! The pack n play fort! 

Graham eventually got on top of it and we had to put it back to normal, but it was awesome while it lasted.

We do have 2 bathrooms now, amazing, and one of them has a huge bathtub. Hello bathtime full of bubbles and splashing (not to mention giant spills and water everywhere to clean up)

We also have 2 mirrored closets that the boys loved looking at themselves in. 

And if they do it just right, there are a million kids! Woah watch out!

We did borrow a tv (thanks gigi/pawpaw) so at least we had something to watch/listen too.

The boys and I signed the paperwork and were able to get cable/internet hooked up in our new apartment! But as you can see, what was in our cars was what we had. All our stuff was still in storage. I think the boys liked the space they had to run around, and we had central air, so we were nice and comfy. We played with our stuff until Brett got home. Then we had to make an emergency trip to get towels and other necessities since our stuff would not be coming to us the same day. But we treated it like an adventure and made the best of it. 

An empty diaper box works great as a desk for working. We had a pack in play for Bennett, and 2 air mattresses for Graham and Brett and I. Thankfully, I was not that pregnant at the time. But still, all you wanted was a chair to really sit on. 

The air mattress in the back of the photo was a great jumping place for the boys. Anything and everything was for playing including sheets and pillows.

We were officially homeless for almost a week. Thankfully, my sister and her hubba let us crash with them. She was super pregnant and we were super loud. But we had a good time and we were so thankful they let us stay with them. Brett got these photos before he left for work one morning. We didn't all start out in the same bed, but we ended up like this.

visit to Fort Wayne

So, we were in the apartment for a week or more, and then we spent another week in Fort Wayne.

We found this huge and super awesome playgroud. Super awesome. We had a heck of a time getting Graham back in the van. 

Bennett also loved it. 

Except for the slide, not a fan.

While in the fort, we went to the zoo, which is fantastic! Graham actually let me take his photo on the frog (yes he, needs a haircut!)

They had a train ride we could go around on, so of course, we did that. Huge hit.

we spent a lot of time outside too. Bennett loved to run around, and above, he had just fallen, but as you can see below, he got right back up and was on his way. 

This is something that is not allowed...unless you are a grandkid. They get away with everything!

While we were here, I think we officially became homeless for a week or so. Thankfully, my sister and Craig let us stay with them. 

apartment #2

So, we were moved again to a new apartment in the same city. It was really nice with a balcony we let Graham go out and dance on. Thankfully, the apartment below was empty otherwise, they would have hated all the noise the boys made. I think we here for 3-4 weeks. 

I love how happy they both are. We had been missing Brett since we were gone the week before.

Apparently it was common for them to fall asleep. Being in a new space was tricky and hard for the boys to transition, but they did great. Bennett had a wicked case of diaper rash and being in a new place, so he was up alot at night, which is maybe why we were always sleeping.
