The towel dress

I don't know why, but for about a week, Graham wanted to have his towel wrapped around him like a dress to go to his room after his bath. He would show me and walk in tiny little steps while you held the towel in its dress shape. 

Now after his bath , he runs into the room saying "I'm naked!"  Boys. They are so peculiar but you love them anyway.

I have been working on Graham learning his name and ours in case he ever gets lost. Lately, these are his answers:

Me: What is your name?
Graham: Brahm Essel----BURN!!!!
Me: What is your mommy's name?
Graham: Your name is Sarah.
Me: What is your daddy's name?
Graham: Your name is Brett Sarah. (he erupts into giggles)
Me: What is your brother's name?
Graham: His name is Bennett.
Me: How old are you?
Graham: Good.

We tried to get a family photo with 4 people, but one of us wouldn't cooperate. So, this cute little photo of 3 of us will have to do. Makes us look young, but maybe just freaked out that our help was leaving. And, we are tired :D

And finally, the parents. This was supposed to be a photo of us and Graham, but he had run off at this point. I am glad he did, because I love this photo of Brett and myself. Married almost 6 years, with two fantastic boys who are doing awesome. We are blessed!

1 month update

Bennett had his 1 month check up last night. We had the last appointment of the day; which we totally loved. Less sick and unfriendly people in the waiting room, and if we are noisy, no one cares. So we had his appointment, and he got all checked out by our favorite doctor ever, Dr. Amy. He is looking great, has some nice neck control, and managed to spit up on Brett, not the doctor. Graham was a loud car crasher in the corner, and then a zombie at times (we got home at 10 pm from the appointment).  I think the best news of the whole night was, Bennett weighs in at 10 lbs 2 oz!! We thought he was a solid 8 lbs, so this was huge! We are super proud parents and a super proud milk making momma. We are making an appointment with an ear, nose and throat doctor to get that flap of skin that holds your tongue down clipped, Bennett's is short (has been since he was born), and we need to get it clipped. We are hoping this will help with feeding, he won't have to suck as hard, and make less gas and spit up. Also, it would eventually be an issue when he starts talking, so it would have to be done anyway. Besides that, he is doing great. And he got no shots last night, total bonus!

It happened!

Graham has now reached out for Bennett. He knows his hands, tummy and feet. It is super cute too.

Best dad

At some hour of the morning, he has Bennett and Graham surrounding him. He is the best dad ever. 

Sleeping Bennett

While Graham built his towers, Bennett caught some zzzzz's. Thanks Anne and Bob for the new onesies. I heart them!!

We built a big bubble tower. And then knocked it over ...alot. He loved it. 

Red hair?

We brought Bennett out with us one day on the porch. Out there, his hair looked red!! But now, he only has hair on the back if his head, and it is brown. He is keeping us guessing!

Porch time

Graham and I hang out on the porch. We ate pretzels and threw some out to catch a bird. Graham wanted the bird, I came up with pretzels. He threw a stick off the steps and when he went to go get it, he saw a bug, which he investigated. And then we went inside. 

Bennett 1 month

Here is Bennett at 1 month. Thephoto of both boys is how Graham would temp Bennett into touching him. He puts his hand out, and leaves it there for Bennett to grab. So cute. And thanks Stephanie for the awesome onesie. Woot woot!!!

He got a book off the shelf, then sat on his potty to read it. He gets it, but not all the way.

First 4th of July

My mom got him this 4th of July onesie which I could not find on the actually holiday of course. I found if today, he wore it for 15 minutes before he peed through it. But we got a photo !!!

On the holiday, Bennett got his first bath ! He really enjoyed being naked and he didn't pee everywhere.

Happy Birthday America Cake

Graham was a big helper in making America a birthday cake. He threw the ingredients together , I put it in the oven and iced it, and he added all the sprinks ( his word ) on top. He gets really animated when adding on the sprinks. Happy Birthday America!!
