porch snow play
Sometimes you have to get out of the house and play in the snow. Even if neither of you are really dressed for it. Thank goodness for the covered porch. It provides just enough snow for a 3 year old to go nuts with.
I think his favorite part was making tracks with his feet. He LOVES to kick it around, so beware, he doesn't look before his kicks. I usually wind up with snow all over me.

yellow ducky tub
We had a yellow ducky tub when Graham was little, so we got one for Bennett too. Our tube used to have four walls, so it was hard to reach the kid in the tub, which is why the yellow ducky tub made sense for us. Since Brett took down 2 of the walls, we really don't need it, but it was super fun to get out.
Bennett was not so pumped about it. He cried the whole time.

He was way to big for it, but he loved it.
We said thanks but no thanks to the yellow ducky tub. We had a heck of a time getting Graham used to the yellow ducky tub, only then to have to get him used to the real tub. Bennett doesn't mind the tub, so we are not creating an issue if we don't need to. And, where do you put a wet yellow ducky tub when you are not using it! But thank you for servicing your purpose, even if we only used you for 2 nights!

snow day!!!
our first snow storm for the week (1 of 3!) and we had to get outside and play in it. We got a bunch of inches, and Graham and I went out first to get the pathway all shoveled off for Brett and Bennett. I used a shovel, helpful. Graham used a broom, not helpful. he kept brushing the snow back on the pathway so he could annihilate it with the broom. But above, I said let's head into the snow, so he did. This kid did not wear gloves and has on his favorite shoes, he is not really prepared to be out in the snow this deep, but he loved every minute of it.
Me and the boys out in the yard. i love how pretty the trees look with all the snow on them. It is pretty now, not to pretty later on.

Bennett sitting in the snow. This was his first time out on it, or in it. It has snowed since he has been around, but it has only be transported in it, not gotten a chance to get his bear suit snowy.
He did pretty good, but ended up falling over, which made for a fun photo.
And we got Graham involved. They kind of stuck where you put them, so we snapped photos as fast as we could. This is Graham's happy face; I dont know when or why the tongue is out, but it is.
We had to go in shortly after this. Graham would still be out here I am sure if we had let him. I am glad we were able to get Bennett out in the show for his first time. And the way this week is looking weather-wise, he may get a 2nd and 3rd time out of it too!
